Recognized as one of the most influential experts in prison reform, Kurtis Taylor is a powerful storyteller and dynamic speaker who connects deeply with audiences from
boardrooms to conferences. His talks leave leaders not just inspired, but equipped to act with clarity, courage, and impact.
A leader in his field, Kurtis currently serves as Executive Director for the Bob Barker Foundation and previously contributed to a key Task Force on Mental Health and
Substance Use executive order issued by former North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory. In this role, Kurtis oversees the nonprofit’s mission to reduce recidivism by funding and
supporting programs that help incarcerated individuals successfully reenter society.
With a bachelor’s degree in social work from Shaw University, Kurtis was recently asked to be a Board Member for the Everyday Solace Foundation.
